Retroarch black borders fill4/3/2024 ![]() When I force different resolutions in the per-emulator Retroarch settings they fail to launch, so it seems that I must leave those unset. i went into video Aspect Ratio and put 16.9 but it is still cropped Edit Fixed. how do screech it to fill the entire screen like ePSXe can. Retroarch SNESC Overlays borders and Aspect ratio customization. i got PSone working but the screen is cropped with to black lines. Cropping black borders RetroArch General. I probably goofed on something in cfg, but cant figger it out. hello everyone i am new to RetroArch always kinda avoided it, but i deside to give it a go. All of them show the overlay that is with in the original 4x3 game, but nothing past that but black borders. I have overlays & shaders working in every console w/Retroarch EXCEPT Segas (MS, MD, 32X, & Sega CD). You can either stretch it on the monitor, or what I would recommend doing is using RetroArch with a super resolution of 3840x240 while forcing an integer scale. All Sega Retroarch consoles keep black borders w/overlay and no shaders. Interestingly, I think they were rendering at precisely the right size before I changed the overscan settings (although I can't be sure). The NES stretched its internal 256x240 resolution to be 4:3 in order to fill the screen, and emulators cant do this due to the fixed resolution of the PC. All emulators that I've tried have been working correctly, except some of them (N64 and PSX) are rendering quite a bit too small, leaving a large black border around the display. Originally, I had an issue with Emulation Station and the terminal rendering out of the bounds of the display, so I enabled overscan and tweaked the numbers until it looked correct. I'm running a Raspberry Pi 4, and installed Retropie using the instructions in the sticky (including the update mentioned, since the other version seemed to be incapable of outputting over composite).
